Ich hab hier ein externes DVD-ROM, und es läuft nicht (mehr) richtig. Warum auch immer, irgendwie hat es von heute auf morgen beschlossen, die meisten DVDs einfach nicht mehr zu lesen.
Battlefield 2 wird sofort mit einem Spin-Up bedacht und funzt 1A.
Lock On, Crysis und Supreme Commander wollen schlicht und ergreifend nicht. Ich höre komische Geräusche die unendlich weitergehen, Arbeitsplatz wird nutzlos und das war's, bis ich die DVD auswerfe. Das, oder es "erkennt" irgendwann die DVD als nichts-im-Laufwerk und das Laufwerk ist plötzlich ein CD-Laufwerk, laut Arbeitsplatz.
Ideen? Ich hab keine und hab auch online nix gefunden.
Achso - es handelt sich hier um Originale, keine "Sicherheitskopien".

Also so wie sich das für mich anhört, würde ich sagen, es ist wohl hinüber. das einzige was du versuchen könntest, DVD aufmachen, Linse reinigen und Schienen fetten. Oder hol dir ein neues DVD und bau es ins Gehäuse und gut ist

Tja, da hab ich auch schon dran gedacht. Geöffnet hab ich es schon, sauber war es auch. Wollte dann mal ein internes da reinsetzen, aber Lite-On hat beschlossen das unmöglich zu machen, indem sie ein paar mm zusätzliches Plastik zwischen IDE und Molex gesetzt haben, und die Controllerplatine mit fest-verlöteten, direkt-auf-DVD-Laufwerk-gesteckten Kontakten versehen haben.

.Ne, gerade nicht. Das dumme ist auch noch, das die IDE Verbindung dadurch natürlich aus einem weiblichem Stecker besteht. Das heisst das ich nichtmal einfach ein normales IDE-Kabel zwischenstecken kann.. *nerv*
