Theorethisch passt ein Athlon Kühler ja auf einen So370. Da es mittlerweile auch recht preisgünstige Boxed-Kühler zum Aufpreis von teilweise 5 ¤ gegenüber der non-Boxed-Version, könnte man ja auf den Gedanken kommen, ihn auch für eine Silent-Kühlung par Excelence für einen Tualatin zu verwenden.
Ein Problem ist gelegentlich die Breite, und zwar dann wenn er mit dem Spannhebel des So370 kollidiert. Nur da kann man ja notfalls mit der Säge nachhelfen.
Nur ragt ein Tualatin dank IHS (Integratet Heat Spreader) ja von der Höhe her über einen Athlon oder P3 Coopermine hinaus.
Kann man einen Athlon-Kühler trotzdem verwenden, oder läuft man Gefahr den Sockel samt CPU in 2 zu brechen, bzw. die Nasen vom Sockel zu entfernen?

du kannst einen Athlon-Kühler im Grunde bedenkenlos verwenden, die Höhe aufgrund des IHS ist marginal.
Habe selber einen S462-Kühler auf nem Coppermine betrieben, hat auch geklappt. Und durch den Heatspreader werden die Kräfte sogar noch besser verteilt.
Die Haltenasen dürften demnach auch nicht abbrechen!
Einer Silent bzw. Passivkühlung durch derartige Kühler sollte also nichts im weg stehen

Also hab hier zwei Aero Light für Sockel A auf dem Dual Brett und das is verdammt eng, musste die Halteklammern nen bischen biegen, und die unnützen Ösen der Klammern entfernen dann hats gepasst. Naja die Kraft der Haltebügel kann man ja wie schon gesagt nen bischen anpassen. Muss man aber gucken je nach Kühler bei den Aeros z.B. sind die ziemlich "weich" also wenn man die noch biegen würde, würde der fast abfallen.
